Bubbles Wine Bar, a fun and lively wine bar in the heart of Downtown Morgan Hill, opened July, 2010.
The PeopleBubbles is the brainchild of proprietors Rosy & Rich Bergin, who also own the enormously popular Rosy’s at the Beach seafood restaurant in Morgan Hill. This year The Best of Morgan Hill Readers Poll in The Morgan Hill Times voted “Rosy’s” the best Morgan Hill restaurant in four categories (Best Established Restaurant, Best Bar & Pub, Best Drink Specials and Happy Hour, and Best Family Restaurant).
The Bergins are recognized as outstanding supporters of the local community and its charitable organizations. Now in their 27th year of marriage, the duo have two children and Bubbles marks their fourth food & wine endeavor together.
Bubbles managers are Jen Morgan and Lindsay Buford, two veterans with extensive wine experience, who moved to Bubbles from Rosy’s at the Beach.
The AmbianceMore than a decade has passed since the Bubbles building served as a local branch bank. The original bank vault, with its intricate mechanical locking door, reveals its origins. That safe has become the "wine vault," where customers go inside to shop for their bottle of wine, for the table or for home.
The outside is part of the inside at Bubbles, with two giant glass doors that open onto the "Front Porch," a dining and beverage area that reflects its name. The "Side Porch" outdoor seating area welcomes mellow pets on a space available basis. Six varieties of grapevines planted near the front door signal to passing motorists what lies within.
A large, "community table" for 12 is planned in the center of the room that invites singles, large groups or smaller groups to come together.
